The New Burger Joint at Vīb

Vīb Best Western Springfield just said goodbye to Wheelhouse, but its lobby cafe hasn’t sat empty for too long. Burger Bar officially opened this past week and is serving burgers piled high with toppings like caramelized onion, bacon and Boursin cheese, wings in flavors like sweet chili and honey barbecue, fries and fried pickle spears. If you’re craving something a bit lighter, the wraps and salads look filling and nutritious. The Very Berry Salad has some of our favorite toppings, including goat cheese, candied pecans, and you guessed it, berries. You’ll also find a hefty beverage menu full of cocktails, wine and local beer. If your Memorial Day cookout gets rained out, a visit here will satisfy that burger craving. 🍔

Exciting News from Las Cazuelas

The seafood nachos, burrito enchiladas and daiquiris at Las Cazuelas have been hometown hits in Marshfield. Now, they’re bringing all of the above and much more to Ozark with a new location at 1769 W. James River Rd. We did a quick comparison of the two menus, and you can expect all of the same delicious offerings at both. The new location looks just as colorful as the original spot, with a stunning floor-to-ceiling mural, orange walls, and chairs in a rainbow of colors. It’s taco Tuesday, which means they’re running specials today. Ground beef or shredded chicken tacos for $1.50?! We’ll see you there. 🌮

Summer Sippers at Garbo’s

We don’t know about you, but we’re currently eating every meal that we can out on a patio around here. Garbo's Pizzeria pretty much invented outdoor dining in Springfield when it opened its balcony seating in Chesterfield Village back in the day, and there’s nothing like sipping an adult beverage with a pizza there to this day. Speaking of which, Garbo’s just released a new cocktail menu that has our mouths watering. There are some classics like a Hugo Spritz, and some fruity takes on the classics, like a lemon blueberry daiquiri. We’re most excited to try the strawberry basil gin fizz, which sounds like it was practically made to sip on a late spring day with a plate of their manicotti. We also got word that Garbo’s is going to be serving Springfield-based Good Clean Wine’s red soon, which is all the more reason to head over. 🍹

A New Local Product to Love

We always feel a sense of local pride when we see one of Date Lady’s products on a grocery store shelf, especially when we’re states away. This week, the local company just dropped a new product that we’re dying to get our hands on. They describe their new chocolate syrup as “rich” and “velvety,” and we’ll take their word for it based on their track record. They designed this date-based chocolate syrup to be the perfect topping for pouring over ice cream, stirring into milk or “sneaking a spoonful straight from the bottle.” We’re already pleading guilty to the latter. 🍫
